Passengers with individual bookings arriving in the Maldives must land on the day of the cruise’s commencement before 11am, the latest check-in time, to ensure same-day departure. A uniformed crew member will greet you at the international airport’s exit, displaying a sign with the ship’s name (Sea Rose 2 or Iruvai) or Submaldives.

Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase an internet SIM card for your mobile phone (ensuring it’s unlocked), with activation essential for proper functionality. Alternatively, eSIMs can be purchased online or through specific apps if your phone is unlocked and compatible, avoiding queues at the airport’s operator shop.

All passengers will be transported to the cruise via dhoni (a typical Maldivian boat) by 11:00 am. Onboard, the welcome briefing will cover government fees, diving equipment rental, and any additional supplements, with qualifications and diving insurance reviewed by the boat guide.

Room distribution and meal service will commence around 1:00 pm, with weather and navigation permitting the possibility of the first dive on the same day of arrival. Depending on weather conditions and cruise logistics, 2-3 dives may be scheduled daily.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The ocean water temperature in the Maldives remains consistently between 27\u00baC and 30\u00baC throughout the year. Given that many passengers engage in up to 3 dives daily, it’s crucial to take appropriate measures to protect oneself. We recommend wearing a 3mm wetsuit year-round, or a 5mm wetsuit if you tend to feel colder.
All dives are conducted from a dinghy known as a dhoni. It’s important to note that all diving equipment will be stored on the dhoni, which may not always be easily accessible from the main boat. This consideration should be kept in mind when determining essential diving equipment.

Local SIM cards offer various recharge options and data packages based on usage. Approximately, a 2GB package costs between \u20ac15 to \u20ac20 and can be shared among multiple users. Ooredoo and Dhiraagu are the two telecommunications companies operating in the Maldives, both with offices at the airport for convenient paperwork processing upon arrival. The boats are equipped with first aid kits containing oxygen for emergencies. If you’re prone to motion sickness, consider bringing medication. Consult your doctor for options like scopolamine patches, Biodramine, Scopace, or Stugeron.
Boat movements may occur due to currents and winds. Prior to your trip, it’s wise to undergo a medical check-up. Please note that crew members cannot store passengers’ medication, especially if refrigeration is needed. Passengers with temperature-sensitive medication should bring their own cooler or cold gel packs.
We advise bringing sunscreen, mosquito repellent (for excursions on local islands), and basic medicines in your personal first aid kit. Be cautious with coral wounds, as they can become infected. After dives or snorkeling, rinse your ears with fresh water to prevent irritation.
