坎多马蒂拉, located in the heart of Kandooma Kandu, was ranked among the top 10 shark diving sites in the world from 2000 to 2009. This impressive thila (underwater pinnacle) features a coral-covered top with vibrant hard corals, while the vertical sides are adorned with soft corals.

Strong currents make this an ideal site for Advanced 和 Nitrox-certified divers. Expect to encounter large schools of eagle rays, white-tip reef sharks, barracudas, green turtles和 灰礁鲨—with the occasional 鼬鲨making a surprise appearance.

Cocoa Corner is best dived during incoming northeast currents, allowing for a smooth drift dive along the atoll edge with minimal effort. The site offers both short and long drift dive options, depending on current strength.

Divers often encounter white-tip and grey reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, large green turtles和 金枪鱼. With a bit of luck, thresher sharks, leatherback turtles, marlins, or even hammerhead sharks may pass by—making Cocoa Corner a top pick for big animal lovers.

One of the highlights of diving in South Malé Atoll, Guraidhoo Corner comes alive during the northeast monsoon season. The entire channel is a marine protected area, known for its strong and sometimes unpredictable currents—including downstream ‘washing machine’ effects inside the channel.

Kuda Giri Wreck is a picturesque wreck dive just a short swim from a lush coral pinnacle (giri). This boat-accessible site features a small, well-preserved wreck surrounded by colorful reef life 和 macro creatures.

The wreck’s exterior is blanketed in corals, algae, sponges, sea squirts和 vibrant reef fish. Keep an eye out for a camouflaged grey frogfish perched on the deck. This site is ideal for 中级潜水员 和 underwater photographers alike.
