Liveaboard diving in the Maldives
Iruvai is a liveaboard vessel and a valued part of the Submaldives Fleet, known for its traditional Maldivian build and comfortable onboard experience. Originally constructed in 2008 by local artisans and added to the fleet in 2013, Iruvai has become a preferred choice for those exploring the Maldives by sea—particularly for diving and cruising.
The vessel is built from saltwater-resistant hardwood sourced from the Maldives and reinforced with fiberglass for durability and smoother sailing. Its design reflects local craftsmanship, featuring details like hand-carved Hibiscus and Ironwood artworks throughout the interior.
Iruvai spans three decks and includes ten guest cabins distributed between the lower and upper decks. The main deck offers both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, along with a lounge and bar area. The top sundeck is equipped with sunbeds and a jacuzzi, offering guests a place to relax while enjoying panoramic ocean views.
Blending traditional materials with practical comfort and a focus on local detail, Iruvai provides a well-rounded liveaboard experience for those looking to explore the natural and marine beauty of the Maldives.
