• Diving in the Lhaviyani Atoll is a year-round delight, but there are periods when the underwater spectacle reaches its zenith.

Dive Sites:

  • Turtle Caves: The Turtle Caves are not so much caves as very large overhangs along the reef wall. This dive site is located in the North of Lhaviyani Atoll next to the resort island of Kuredu.
  • Hurawali Kandu: This channel dive site is in the north of Lhaviyani Atoll. Inside the channel is a tongue-shaped reef with plateau reef, slopes, walls, and drop-offs.
This site is great for spotting huge stingrays as well as eagle rays, tuna, and schools of jack fish.
  • Meyyafushi Kandu: A site not to be missed by the experienced diver. With the right current Meyyafushi Kandu is a great channel to cross and experience what so many people come to the Maldives for. Starting from either one of the corners the actual swim only takes about 20 minutes.
